House Rules

At La Favela Stays, we strive to provide a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable stay experience for all guests. To ensure the comfort, security, and privacy of everyone, all guests are required to follow the house rules mentioned below.

By confirming a booking or checking into any property managed or facilitated by La Favela Stays, all guests agree to comply with these House Rules.

1. General Conduct

Guests are expected to:

Respect the property, furnishings, fixtures, and amenities
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene during the stay
Respect neighbors, local residents, caretakers, hosts, and staff
Use the property only for lawful residential stay purposes
Avoid any conduct that causes disturbance, nuisance, or inconvenience

Any misconduct, nuisance, or violation of these rules may result in immediate cancellation of the stay without refund.

2. Valid ID Mandatory

All guests must provide valid government-issued photo identification at the time of booking, before check-in, or during check-in, as required.

Accepted IDs may include:

Aadhaar Card
Passport
Driving License
Voter ID
Any other officially valid government-issued ID

Failure to provide valid ID may result in denial of check-in without refund, subject to applicable booking terms.

3. Only Registered Guests Allowed

Only the guests whose names/details have been provided at the time of booking shall be allowed to stay at the property
Unregistered or unauthorized guests are strictly not allowed
Visitors may be restricted or may require prior approval depending on the property
Extra guests beyond the confirmed number may attract additional charges or may be denied entry

Over-occupancy is strictly prohibited.

4. Check-In and Check-Out Rules

Guests must follow the check-in and check-out timings communicated at the time of booking
Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and prior approval
Unauthorized early entry or delayed check-out may attract additional charges
Failure to vacate the property on time may result in penalty charges or an additional night’s charge

5. No Parties or Events

Unless specifically approved in writing by La Favela Stays, the following are strictly prohibited:

Parties
Gatherings
Loud celebrations
Birthday events
Bachelor / bachelorette parties
DJ / loud music events
Commercial shoots or events

Any unauthorized event or gathering may lead to:

Immediate termination of stay
Security or damage charges
Police or local authority involvement if necessary
No refund

6. Noise Policy

Guests must avoid excessive noise, especially during late-night and early-morning hours.

Strictly prohibited:

Loud music
Shouting
Disturbing neighbors
Outdoor noise causing nuisance
Use of speakers at high volume without permission

Guests must maintain a peaceful environment at all times.

7. Smoking Policy

Smoking inside the property is strictly prohibited, unless specifically allowed for that particular property
If smoking is allowed in designated outdoor areas, guests must use only those approved spaces
Cigarette butts must be disposed of properly and responsibly

Violation of the smoking policy may result in:

Deep cleaning charges
Damage charges
Immediate termination of stay without refund

8. Alcohol and Intoxication

Consumption of alcohol shall be subject to the rules of the specific property and local regulations.

However:

Excessive intoxication is strictly prohibited
Disorderly behavior, nuisance, violence, or damage under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited
Illegal substances, narcotics, or banned items are strictly prohibited under all circumstances

Any unlawful or disruptive behavior may lead to immediate eviction without refund and may be reported to local authorities.

9. Illegal Activities Strictly Prohibited

The following are strictly prohibited at all La Favela Stays properties:

Any illegal activity
Drug use or possession of prohibited substances
Gambling (where prohibited)
Carrying illegal weapons or dangerous items
Prostitution or unlawful conduct
Any activity violating local laws, housing society rules, or public order

Violation may result in:

Immediate removal from the property
No refund
Reporting to law enforcement authorities

10. Property Care and Damage Responsibility

Guests are expected to treat the property with care.

Guests shall be responsible for:

Damage to furniture, fixtures, décor, appliances, electronics, or amenities
Breakage of items
Stains, burns, or misuse of linens or furnishings
Missing items from the property
Excessive mess requiring special cleaning
Damage caused by guests, visitors, children, or pets (if allowed)

La Favela Stays reserves the right to recover:

Repair charges
Replacement costs
Cleaning charges
Penalty fees
Security deposit deductions (if applicable)

11. Cleanliness and Hygiene

Guests are expected to maintain basic cleanliness during the stay.

Please ensure:

Waste is disposed of properly
Toilets, kitchens, and common areas are used responsibly
Food is not left unattended in a manner that attracts pests
The property is not left in an excessively dirty or unhygienic condition

Excessive cleaning may attract additional cleaning charges.

12. Kitchen and Appliances Usage

Where kitchen access is provided:

Guests must use kitchen appliances carefully and responsibly
Gas, induction, electrical appliances, and utensils must be handled safely
Appliances must be switched off after use
Guests must not misuse or overload appliances
Any breakage or damage caused due to negligence may be chargeable

La Favela Stays is not responsible for accidents caused by improper use of appliances.

13. Pets Policy

Pets are not allowed unless expressly approved in advance for the specific property.

If pets are permitted:

Prior approval is mandatory
Additional charges may apply
Guests remain fully responsible for hygiene, damage, and pet behavior
Pets must not disturb neighbors or damage the property

Unauthorized pets may lead to denial of check-in or immediate cancellation without refund.

14. Safety and Security

Guests are expected to act responsibly for their own safety and the safety of others.

Please ensure:

Doors and windows are locked when leaving the property
Electrical appliances are turned off when not in use
Fire hazards are avoided
Children are supervised at all times
Valuables are kept secure

La Favela Stays shall not be responsible for:

Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
Accidents arising from guest negligence
Misuse of property features or facilities

15. Local Laws and Society Rules

Guests must comply with:

Local laws and regulations
Housing society / apartment rules (where applicable)
Community standards and quiet hours
Property-specific instructions provided by the host or caretaker

Any complaint from neighbors, security staff, local management, or authorities may result in immediate action.

16. Right to Refuse or Terminate Stay

La Favela Stays reserves the right to:

Refuse check-in
Cancel a booking
Terminate the stay immediately
Ask guests to vacate the property

without refund, if any guest:

Violates house rules
Provides false information
Causes damage or disturbance
Engages in illegal, unsafe, or abusive behavior
Fails to comply with ID requirements or occupancy rules

17. Unmarried Couples / Local ID Policy

Acceptance of:

Unmarried couples
Local guests / local ID holders
Same-city residents

shall depend on:

The rules of the specific property
Local regulations
Host / owner approval
Safety and verification requirements

Guests must confirm eligibility before booking if this is relevant to their stay.

La Favela Stays reserves the right to deny check-in if the property does not permit local IDs, unmarried couples, or same-city bookings.

18. Visitors Policy

Outside visitors may not be allowed unless expressly approved
Visitor entry may be restricted by the property, host, or local society rules
Unapproved visitors may result in warnings, charges, or termination of stay

19. Lost & Found

Any item left behind by a guest:

May be kept for a limited period at the property or by the host/caretaker
May be returned only upon request and at the guest’s cost/risk
May be discarded if unclaimed after a reasonable period

La Favela Stays is not responsible for items lost, forgotten, or misplaced by guests.

20. Acceptance of House Rules

By making a booking, entering the property, or continuing the stay, the guest confirms that:

They have read and understood these House Rules
They agree to follow all rules during the stay
They accept that violation may result in penalties, cancellation, or eviction without refund
